A transportation customer required a solution for its exhaust application. The customer was using graphite gasketing material with a tanged stainless core and encountered several failures even with the gasket material being well within the temperature and pressure limitations. LGG Industrial partnered with Leader Gasket to design a specialty LeaderTherm NXT Gasket that could cope with low seating stresses as well as the medium Nitrogen Oxides (NOx). The right gasket, in combination with the proper installation, reduced costs and fugitive emissions while improving safety and reliability.
